The world seems dark and scary, but by practicing mindfulness we experience more fully both the positive and the negative — we are more fully engaged in our lives.

Positive and optimistic people don't deny the problems, or an unpleasant reality, they have enough self-confidence to know that they can change the course of events, and transform a sad, painful moment, or even a failure into an experience that will make us wiser, or stronger, and keep moving forward.
